PHILADELPHIA – On Friday, January 6th, COMHAR hosted an event for 3 Kings Day for children ages 5-10 in its Latino Treatment Program in North Philadelphia. The 3 costumed “kings” visited the children to tell the story of 3 Kings Day. Each child then received a present, which were donated to the Latino Treatment Program through Toys 4 Tots. The children were also treated to free pizza, face painting, balloon animals, a DJ.
COMHAR’s Latino Treatment Program was created to offer high-level services to Philadelphia’s Spanish-speaking populations. The program is fully staffed with counselors and more who come from the community, offering culturally relevant services to clients in need. From counseling to day-long psychiatric supportive programs to art classes that help encourage recovery, the Latino Treatment Program offers various ways to help adults and children with different needs.
