Open Door Clubhouse

Open Door Clubhouse

open-door-logoAt the Open Door Clubhouse, our purpose is to support individuals with mental illness as they work on their recovery as an independent individual. Members learn, work, and create together in the community. Each member has an opportunity to strengthen their sense of self-worth through personal responsibility, employment, and building relationships with others.

At the Open Door Clubhouse, the primary modality of mental health rehabilitation is employment. Members in recovery from mental illness and its effects participate in Clubhouse unit tasks called the Work Ordered Day that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, life skills, community engagement, and job readiness. These activities develop skills that prepare individuals for employment and provide a sense of purpose through working.
